Cat Tien National Park is one of Vietnam's 8 Ramsar swamp areas (Bau Sau - crocodile lagoon), one of 8 UNESCO biosphere reserves in Vietnam, the last sand habitat of the Pangolin. The Javanese taste is exceptionally rare, and the culture is enjoyed by the long-standing ethnic tribes of Stieng and Ma.

Day 1: Mui Ne - Cat Tien National Park. (Lunch, dinner)

07:30 We go by car to Cat Tien National Park (150km, 3 hours). We gradually gain altitude as we approach this volcanic area. Upon arrival, 11:30 After checking in, we break for lunch. 13:30 We start our 8 km walk along the nature trail where we will see many giant trees before returning to the administration building. What kind of trees are on this path? There are Lagerstroemia Ovalfolia (BangLang), Tetrameles nudiflora (Tung), Cycas rumphii (Thien Tue), Ancistrolandus tectorius (Trung Quan), Afzelia cyclocarpa (Go). 20:00 A Jeep takes us to the TaLai buffer zone to find a night shelter, where we can spot weasels, civets, mouse deer, wild boars and brown dwarfs. We will return to our room for the night. (very basic motel).

Day 2: Cat Tien Trek - Mui Ne (Breakfast, lunch)

Types of tanks alternating with Cat Tien terrain, swamps, stream systems plus more than 90 km of Dong Nai River length have created a unique landscape with waterfalls, wetlands and flooded marshes... Especially the area Crocodile swamp (Bau Sau) is very interesting.

Our jeep took us nine kilometers to the road junction, where we walked 5 kilometers to the Fish Lake Station. After a rest stop at the lake's watchtower, we climbed onto the main road and a jeep took us back to our accommodation.

After we checked out, we had lunch and then returned the way we came: ferry across the river and transport by car back to mui ne.

Options for easier walking: 7 km waterfall route (Thac Troi, Thac Dung): takes 3 hours. It was easy and passed through many giant trees.
